Hello everyone, my name is Tino and I am the creator of this forum.
I am a Sydney based quant, currently working for Bloomberg in Sydney, and look after a python based quant platform for the Aussie/Kiwi market.
Been involved in quite a few roles over my career, starting with property finance in the UK, Fixed Income portfolio management for the UN in Rome, a PhD in Australia, a family office in Sydney and since early 2018 with Bloomberg.
Always been interested in numbers and how it all fits together. I have seen trends come and fade away, hypes, crashes, redundancies, joy & heartache.
The world is a messy place, and hence so is the data that it produces.
Created this forum to get the community together, and build something that I can call my own. But at the end of the day I am just 1 user, what makes a community great are its members.
Doesn’t matter if you have never coded in your life, or don’t know your betas from your Brownian motion. No one was born knowing it.
